We finally got the boys for a few days, the first time we have had them here in months. We enjoyed ourselves so much. Mommy and daddy had their heads burred for the summer and they looked so cute and they were just as energetic as ever. They did hate that Savannah is still at Upward Bound so they didn't get to see her but I think they enjoyed it all the same.
Mom decided to water her plants like she always does and they thought they could "help" :)

Missing my Smartie Pants...
This is my Doodlebug's second year to be in Upward Bound for the summer. She goes to Troy University from Monday to Friday for five weeks and the sixth week they take a cultural trip somewhere. This year she gets to take the trip too, they haven't told them where they are going.
It's kind of hard dropping her off on Sunday night to stay in a dorm without me for a week.

She takes classes all day walkng across that big campus and and they eat all their meals together. They plan things for each night as well. One night they take them swimming in the big olympic size pool, they do scavenger hunts, karoke nights, board game night....she loves it and I miss her like crazy. We had Nina Sophia with us the first weekend we checked in and she wanted to take her to let everyone ooh and ahh over her. Nina is a camera hound like Bug so she got in a few after we put her room together.
They are in the suites this year so they have their own bathroom that they share with their neighbors.
I am jealous of her walk in closet though. I told her we need to knock a wall out and build us one of them for the house...LOL I sure miss the stinker but I am proud for her to get this opportunity.

God's miracle
I am proud to say God has been doing miracles in our family and the latest one is daddy coming home. It started March 15th with us taking daddy to Jackson Hospital in Montgomery for two toes that had turned black and he had been diagnosed with everything including athletes fungus.... it was not anything they had said. Daddy had blockages so bad in his legs that it had cut the circulation off to his rightfoot and it was dying. The doctors did a bypass after a catherization didn't work and it went beautifully. We gave God the praise and the devil got mad and daddy had a heart attack two days later. The doctors diagnosed him with congestive heart failure and he started retaining fluid in his lungs and they had to put him on a ventilator. Things got worse before they got better. 19 days on the respiratgod or and two different times they were telling us to expect the worst and get things in order...but God had another plan. I am sharing a few photos because I want youto be able to know just how far God brought our miracle.
And God made a way! not only did he walk out of rehab but.....
He walked into the house... up a ramp and right in the door... I am telling you God had done a miracle and we could not be more proud to shout God's praises! I pray God blesses you today and you can shout a little too!
They even had to do dialysis twice...but then the DOCTOR STEPPED INTO THE ROOM!
They had talked about doing a trach but then God turned things around and they decided to try and ween him off the vent. By May 19th they were moving him to HealthSouth Rehab.
It stinks that he lost weight on a feeding tube but he lost it none the less.... he said there were days when he couldn't feed himself at first because his body had broken down so bad and fast. He said some days they would come get him for therapy and he would think there is no way he can do this but then when he got in there God just gave him strength. He would do everything they ask then little by little.... twelve steps....then 24....55....112....224...man he is zooming around that station....he told them his goal was to walk out of that place...
He worked so hard... He really wanted to walk out........
And God made a way! not only did he walk out of rehab but.....

PCHS Graduation time is upon us!
This has been a roller coaster year for our family. We went from me being down and sick to finally seeing the light of day and then the devil jumped on my daddy. But God has been showing up and showing out. Daddy went from death's door and doctors telling us to prepare for the worst to the doctors sending him to rehab to get his strength and get ready to to come home and spoil his grand babies.
All curled up for awards day Our Danie loves getting all dolled up for things. She wanted her hair curly but they played for the awards ceremony as a pre program concert and she didn't get a chance to put on her dressy blouse on but she looked adorable none the less :) She made the AB honor roll again this year. She is struggling a little with everything that has happened with her paw but I think she is pretty awesome for a kid with ADD to overcome it, not let it be a crutch and not only make the AB honor roll but she is taking honors classes.Gosh I sound like a proud momma huh. Well I am! I pray this finds everyone well and Loving each other but above all Loving the Lord and all He has to offer you. I hope to catch up a little more soon but until then may your be as blessed as we are. God is Good! Oh I added a little preview of their competition at Rehobeth where they received all superior ratings! |

Happy New Year!
Praise the Lord for all His wondrous gifts, He has brought us too a New Year that holds all the amazing gifts God has in store for us. We just celebrated God's son's birth with our families and had a great time with them all.
I got to meet our niece for the first time Christmas day! Doodlebug and MES became fast friends. We have been following her by pictures but it was great to hold her too. Of course I always enjoy my time with my brother's little boys.
We loved our traditional cookie bake and decorate with them too, I think that's why they love coming this time of the year...LOL
Christmas time is my favorite time of the year and I just love sharing time with family...
| Anna and Danie |
Everyone listening to Uncle Bubba read the True Christmas Story
It was just good to be together one more time!
Even our 9 month old Nina Sophia got a new sweater so Daddy doesn't freeze her to death on the road out there. Savannah (Danie) and I miss her already :( next time we make daddy leave her with us!
I pray everyone has a great year this year and always remember to put God first and He will add all other things unto you!
